I went to my friend's exhibition opening night last night - Anna Laurini's "Dream a little Dream". Needless to say I didnt just go there for the free champagne. I always love seeing the work of other people - especially when they are friends. It's great to dive into their own little worlds for a while.
Anna well done! Congratulations to your brilliant exhibition opening night. And thanks for the free wine and the pizza. True Italiano Style.
I loved seeing your work. Good luck with it all.
And as promised here are the photos.
Ah of course, everyone, check out: www.annalaurini.com.
Anna on the left.
On my way home today I saw this lady drawing a picture of a crack in a wall. I loved that idea. I spoke to her for a few moments and told her she could make a whole series about it.
I also said she would have loved Berlin 10 years ago when you could still see the bullet holes of the second world war everywhere.
I think she said she works in landscape design and the look of the crack reminded her of a landscape with rivers. I totally agree. It looked like the Grand Canyon when you got close.
Look out for the name of Fiona McQuard, maybe one day she'll be famous for her cracking art.
